Strong Intersectoral collaboration & Interdisciplinarity There are essentially three main research topics:

Experiments (WPs 1-3), Data Analysis (WPs 4-5), Systems/Technology (WPs 6&7). For each experimental WP, there will be applied data analysis (WPs 4-5). Furthermore the Systems/Technology WPs are very relevant to the WPs 4-5. Specifically, WP6 aims to make the analysis more computationally efficient, provide efficient data sharing and storage mechanisms for WP1-WP5.

WP7 focuses on bio-inspired software and hardware that will integrate the knowledge and findings of the WPs 1-5. Finally, the multi-photon image technology is the basis for the experiments in WP 1-2 and thus the interaction with WP7 is strong.
